Our approach
Penrith Women's Health Centre provides accessible and affordable mental health support in the form of one-to-one counselling sessions and therapeutic groups.
We regard clients as the experts in their own lives and value the client’s individual past and present experiences. With the provision of acceptance and empathy, our counsellors assist clients to tap into their own vast resources, capability, beliefs, and values, to better understand themselves and build a sense of empowerment in their lives.
Counselling at PWHC assumes a strengths-based framework grounded in the understanding of and responsiveness to the impact of trauma, emphasising physical, psychological and emotional safety.

Women’s Health Centres are in danger of having to close their doors or significantly reduce services due to decades of under investment by the New South Wales Government.
We need your help to survive. NSW politicians must show their commitment to gender equality by committing to adequately funding Women’s Health Centres across the state.
