Our services are provided to women and gender diverse people of all ages, targeting related key women’s health issues such as sexual and reproductive health, promoting good mental health, supporting healthy lifestyles, chronic disease prevention and domestic and family violence.

PWHC has an endorsed Nurse Practitioner who is highly experienced in sexual and reproductive health, including contraception, women’s health, pregnancy options counselling and STI screening. Nurse Practitioners are highly experienced registered nurses who have completed additional studies to be able to assess client needs, plan care, provide treatment including prescriptions and provide referrals to pathology, imaging and medical specialists.
We also have a highly experienced counsellor who is specialist in trauma informed practice. Our counsellor uses up to date and evidence based techniques to assist with any issues that they may have requiring counselling.
Contraception Support
We provide contraceptive counselling, prescriptions and procedures, including IUD (Mirena & copper IUD) and contraceptive implant services. You can discuss contraceptive options with our nurse practitioner who can assist you to make a decision on what is best for you and provide you with a prescription if needed.
CALD Health promotion and community development
We provide information sessions, groups and activity programs for women to encourage them meet new people and practice self-development. We target women from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds and have lots of experience in working with migrant communities.
Introducing PWHC's Nurse Practitioner: Kirsty Fleming
Kirsty is a reproductive and women's health specialist Nurse Practitioner who has extensive experience in reproductive and sexual health, and gynaecology. PWHC offers support in a trauma-informed, intersectional capacity and is a safe space for all women and people who menstruate in the Penrith region.
Kirsty is a registered nurse and nurse practitioner, she has over 20 years’ experience in nursing and holds a Masters in Women's Health Medicine from UNSW and a Masters in Nursing Nurse Practitioner from USyd. Her specialty is women’s health, reproductive & sexual health.
Kirsty is highly experienced in women's health & contraception. She provides intrauterine device (IUD) and contraceptive implant insertion and removal procedures. Kirsty's areas of interest are Women's Health (including Cervical Screening, STI screening & treatment, Pregnancy tests, Pregnancy options counselling, contraceptive counselling, breast checks, menopause discussions, general women’s health issues).
